Pair programming for the AI era

Everyone around the same session

Session sharing is pair programming for the AI era: one live Claude or Codex session, shared control, shared transcript, and teammates steering the agent together.

Live presence

See who's around the fire — session presence updates in real time.

Shared control

Anyone in the session can prompt and steer the same agent.

One transcript

The whole conversation is shared, so nobody loses the thread.

Onboarding, gone

Set it up once. Everyone else opens a link.

Getting a team running with AI agents usually means a day of setup per person — and it still breaks. Bonfire does it once, for everyone.

How it works

Three layers, one shared filesystem

The model is simple enough for anyone on the team to hold in their head — git and infrastructure stay completely hidden.

01

Project

The shared brain. Files, skills, context, and tool connections that the whole team owns and improves together.

02

Workspace

A named, persistent work area on the shared files. Spin up as many as you need — one per task, project, or experiment.

Shared session

A live agent — Claude or Codex — running on the workspace. Teammates join the same session with shared skills, files, and one transcript.

Why Bonfire

Set up once. Owned by everyone.

Most tools for cloud agents start from an IDE or a terminal. Bonfire starts from how teams actually work together.

Team asset, not personal setup

The workspace becomes shared infrastructure for the team — not a configuration trapped on one laptop that breaks when that person is out.

Open from anywhere

The workspace lives in the cloud, so it's not tied to one machine. Start from a laptop, phone, tablet, or any surface Bonfire supports next.

Own identity, shared work

Each person brings their own Claude or Codex credentials while working on common files. Your account, the team's workspace.

Gets better over time

Skills, context, and tools live in one place and improve with every session — instead of being rebuilt from scratch on each machine.

Bring your own agent

Claude or Codex, streamed live

Pick a provider, connect your account, and watch the agent work against shared files — streamed back to everyone in the session in real time.

API key or Claude Pro / Max subscription

Codex

Connected
Streamed live

Messages, tool calls, and results appear as the agent works — no waiting, no refresh.

Isolated runtime

Each session runs in its own clean cloud runtime, so personal config never leaks between users.

Resumable

Close the tab and come back later — the conversation and workspace are right where you left them.

Credentials encrypted

Provider tokens are encrypted at rest and injected only into your own sessions.

FAQ

Good questions

Do I need to install anything?
No. The agent, the files, and the runtime all live in the cloud. Today you open Bonfire from a link — nothing to install — and it's not tied to one device.
Can non-engineers use it?
Yes — that's the point. There's no terminal, no git, and no setup to learn. Analysts, marketers, and operators work the same way developers do.
Can I work from my phone?
Yes. Because the workspace lives in the cloud — not on a laptop — you can pick up the exact same session from a phone or tablet on the move.
Can several people share one session?
Yes. Session sharing is pair programming for the AI era: teammates join the same Claude or Codex session and prompt the agent together, live.
Whose AI account does it use?
Bring your own. Connect Claude (API key or Pro / Max) or Codex (OpenAI key or ChatGPT login). Everyone uses their own credentials on the shared workspace.
What about new teammates?
They inherit the whole environment automatically — the org's skills, CLI tools, software presets, and context — with zero manual configuration.
Is my code and data isolated?
Each session runs in its own clean cloud runtime, and provider tokens are encrypted at rest and injected only into your own sessions.
